  • CODEC: Apple ProRes 4444 XQ / 4444 / 422 (HQ) / 422 / 422 (LT)
    • Please note that H.264 or conversion from H.264 to ProRes before delivery is unacceptable.
  • CONTAINER: .MOV
  • COLOR SPACE: Rec 709 or sRGB
  • PIXEL ASPECT RATIO: Square 1:1
  • FRAME RATE: 23.976, 24, 25, 29.97, or 30 fps
  • DURATION: Between 15 and 35 seconds

Apple ALBUM MOTION SPECIFIC NOTES

When delivering motion cover art for use on Apple Music, keep these common rejection reasons in mind:

  • Typography. Text/title are required to be in the safe area outlined in Apple’s templates.
  • Looping Motion Artwork. Full animation sequence must be in a seamless loop.
  • Frame Edge. Motion cover art must not have a frame/border.
